The soft-drink maker said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America if the album dropped in 2008. “Chinese Democracy,” infamously delayed since recording began in 1994, goes on sale Sunday.
“We never thought this day would come,” Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper’s vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “But now that it’s here, all we can say is: The Dr Pepper’s on us.”
Beginning Sunday at 12:01 a.m., coupons for a free 20-ounce soda will be available for 24 hours on Dr Pepper’s Web site. They’ll be honored until Feb. 28.
Dr Pepper is owned by Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Inc.
I am so impressed by this product that I felt the urge to write about it! I had a $1.00/1 coupon (available in the 04/13 SS insert) for Kraft Bagel-fuls and was at Walmart the other day where they sell them for $1.98, so for .98 I decided to try this product. OH, I LOVE them! They are so good, just positively sinful!
Bagel-fuls are stuffed with Philadelphia Cream Cheese in a variety of flavors. I chose the Cinnamon, however they are available in Original, Cinnamon, Strawberry, Whole Grain and Chive. So ok, Cinnamon was the only flavor left in the freezer at Walmart. I very much want to try the Strawberry! They do not skimp on the cream cheese filling either! Each bite from start to finish is delicious.
The bagel part of it is so tender and soft! I often gripe about bagels I have bought after I bring them home, heat them up and am not able to chew them!! I do like a warm bagel covered in butter! I actually do not spread cream cheese on my bagel as I do not like it very much, however the combination Kraft has found with their flavored cream cheese stuffed bagels is perfect.
These are so good they could be served as a dessert! I have found a new favorite snack and I am very excited about it as you can tell. : ) If you have the coupon and can get them for .98 a box, give them a try! If you don’t like them you can always send them to me!!
I am a little late in posting my deals from the Walgreens ad this week. I have been spending time working in my rock garden and planting flowers.
Here is what I am doing this week at Walgreens:
Using coupons from the sales flyer combined with manufacturer’s coupons; Palmolive dish liquid is on sale for 2/1.89 and I will use (2) .25/1 coupons from a previous Sunday paper insert making it approximately .70 per bottle. (Not a GREAT price but okay) Limit 2
Wrigley’s 10-pack gum is on sale 2/2.49 and using (2) 1.00/1 coupons making it approx. .25 per pack. No limit specified.
Schick disposable razors are $6.99 less the EasySaver coupon of $2.00 and using the B1G1 free coupon from this past Sunday insert making it $2.50 ea. No limit specified.
Adult Wash Cloths 12-pack are Free after mail in rebate. (perfect for taking fishing) Limit 1.
Maxwell House Coffee is 2/5.00 when using the coupon from the sales flyer and then using (2) 1.00/1 coupons from a previous insert making it $1.50 ea. (11.5 oz-13 oz) Limit 4.
Colgate 360 Clean or Deep Clean toothbrush is Free after mail-in rebate and using 1.00/1 coupon from a previous insert makes this a money maker. Limit 1.
There are more deals to be had but this is what I am focusing on this week. I know my husband will be very happy about the coffee deal! Happy Shopping!
My Coke Rewards is a points reward program for purchasing Coke products, Powerade, Vault, Fanta, Dasani, Minute Maid, Nestea, Barq’s, Pibb Xtra, and Fresca. You receive your “code” from either the inside of a cap on a bottle or on the inside cardboard cover of a 12-pack or 24-pack carton of any of the above listed products. Make sure you see mycokerewards.com written on the outside of the box or on top of the cap to be sure you are receiving a code.
When you register on the My Coke Rewards site, you can then enter your codes and accumulate points to redeem for some pretty neat items. So far I have exchanged points for several free individual drinks as well as MANY free 12-packs of Coke product, a free Seventeen magazine subscription for my daughter and a free Arkansas Razorback basketball for my husband. It usually takes approximately a week for me to receive the coupon or item after redeeming my points.
Caps are worth 3 points, 12-packs are worth 10 points and a 24-pack carton is worth 20 points. You can only enter 10 codes a day. Sometimes they run promotions where your points are doubled and you can also at times receive a free 25 point code. Ask family and friends to save their codes for you if they do not wish to participate in the rewards program!

I have had many people ask me how I find the great deals I get by using coupons. I hear over and over that they never find coupons for products they use on a regular basis OR that the store brand is cheaper without using coupons.
Well, it takes dedication and hard work, seriously, at least a few hours a week and then some.
When the sales flyers come out for the week I immediately start matching products with coupons. For example; Kroger’s was running a deal on buy 10 select items and receive $5.00 off of your total purchase. You could do this deal 3 times in 1 transaction. I searched the eligible products and matched them with coupons. Our local store will double up to .60.
French’s Mustard- $1.00 (I bought 5) I used (5) .50/1 manufacturer’s coupons which Krogers doubled to $1.00 ea.
Hormel Chili- 1.00 (I bought 6) I used (3) .55/2 mfg coupons which Krogers doubled to $1.10/2 ea
$5.00 off total
Total so far: +$2.30 total eligible items= 11
I then needed to purchase 9 items for the next $5.00 cash off deal
Betty Crocker Cookie Mix- $1.50 (I bought 4) I used (4) .50/1 mfg coupons which were doubled to $1.00 ea.
Lipton-Knorr Rice Sides-$1.00 (I bought 6) I used (3) .60/2 mfg coupons which were doubled to $1.20 ea.
$5.00 off total
Total so far + $2.90 total eligible items= 21
Still needed 9 items for final cash off special:
New York Garlic Bread- $2.00 (I bought 3) I used (3) .40/1 mfg coupons which were doubled to .80 ea.
Aunt Jemima frozen breakfast products- $2.00 (I bought 6) I used (3) $1.00/2 mfg coupons.
Total eligible items = 30.
$5.00 off total (final time)
Total spent on these items (excluding tax as we pay tax on food here) $4.70!!
So I received those 30 items for $4.70 + tax.
My list could go on as I LOVE that Kroger’s will double coupons. I purchased welch’s frozen juice for .29 ea (3), two dozen of Eggland’s Eggs for .58 ea., received a box of free super pretzel (coupon), three bottles of Frank’s red sauce free (used .50 coupons doubled making it free), three packs of Tyson chicken breasts for $6.00 (used (3) $2.00 off coupons), OH and I purchased (5) Brut stick deodorant on sale @ .60 ea and used (5) $1.00 coupons ($2.00 overage) as well as (5) Suave ladies deodorant priced $1.00 ea and used (5) .50/1 mfg coupons which doubled to $1.00 making it free (but still had to pay tax) (sigh)
There are many more items I could list, however it would go on and on. I purchase several of the same item (watching expiration dates) in order to stay stocked up until the next sales cycle of the same item. Also, luckily Kroger had many eligible items for the buy 10 items get $5.00 off deal and I was able to go and purchase different items each time with similar results but only 3 deals per transaction.
I keep a small file of coupons in my bag at all times as well as a larger binder in my vehicle. I check the discounted items shelf in every store I go to, so at times I have to run out to the car to get a coupon for something that has already been drastically reduced.
I never throw coupons away, not even expired ones as there are people I trade with who can use expired coupons in their area. Check out Hot Coupon World and meet people who are looking to trade coupons. This site is free and has TONS of information about using coupons wisely.
I love receiving samples in the mail! It is always a pleasant experience to receive something other than bills or credit card applications! I have searched and found these samples being offered and wanted to share them with you.
Kroger’s is offering a sample of Kotex as well as a sample of (non-medicated) Nicoderm CQ with a $7.00 coupon included.
Walmart is offering samples of Maybelline New Mineral Power Liquid Foundation, Fiber One Caramel Delight Cereal, Huggies Supreme sample, Vaseline Intensive Rescue, Gold Bond Ultimate Body Lotion, Ultra Xcid antacid as well as Tena Serenity overnight pads. You may need to temporarily allow popups for these samples.
