Kroger Deals (Delta Region) 07/02-07/08

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

I know I am late on posting some of the better deals for groceries, however I started chemotherapy this week and have just been so tired. Here are the better Kroger Deals that are good until Tuesday, July 8, 2008.

The first thing I notice is the Danish Pork Ribs for $1.27 per pound, sold in 10 lb boxes for $12.70 each. Quite frankly, I looked at these and they look just awful with very LITTLE meat. All of the ribs at Kroger looked pretty sad this week. : (

Lawry’s Marinade is 10/$10.00 and using .50/1 coupons from the 05/18 RP insert (for each one) makes these tax only.

Stayfree Maxi-Pads are 2/$5.00 and using B1G1 Free coupon from the 06/29 RP these are 2/$2.50.

Coke products (12-packs) are 5/$12.00 when using your Kroger card.

The Daytona 500 deal where you receive $3.00 off at the register when you purchase 10 qualifying products is not that great this time. There are no coupons to match up with the products to make this a great deal. If you are in NEED of any of the items this might be a good deal for you. Buy 10 of the Banquet Sausages for $10.00 and receive $3.00 off at the register and these will be .70 ea. (I stocked up on Tennessee Pride sausage a couple of weeks ago during that deal.)

I have noticed several items in the produce section being marked down to bargain prices as well as a lot of items on the clearance shelf.

Price of milk went up again. I buy 2% and here are the prices:

Turner Dairy 2% gallon is $5.27. (Not exactly sure on this price but it is very close)

Kroger 2% gallon is $4.13.

Kroger 2% half-gallon is $2.37.

Maybe next week will be better.

Shortcuts.com

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

Erin from Shortcuts.com contacted me to tell me about this new coupon program for Kroger stores including Ralph’s, Fry’s, King Soopers, etc. You register your frequent shopper’s card and load coupons onto your card to use for shopping. (They are currently working with more stores to get with the program and allow customers to load their cards with coupons.) At the present time you are allowed to stack the store coupon  on your card with manufacturer’s coupons. Hey, this could really save us some money!!

Even though Shortcuts.com is from AOL, you do not need to be an AOL or AIM user to use their site for free. This is definitely a site to watch and see how it develops. I hope it does really well!

An Interesting Article

Friday, April 25th, 2008

There was an interesting article written by Brett Arends titled Load Up The Pantry for The Wall Street Journal that I find fascinating. I had always believed it was just common sense to have a stockpile of items on hand due to rising prices, natural disasters, or just anything that can change your way of life. When I combine coupons with sales I always buy at least 10 of the same item, sometimes more if it is a really great deal. For this to be a new concept to some is interesting to me.

If I cannot use all of the items I purchase I will still not let them go to waste as I donate them to charities, churches, or give them to family and friends. I usually pay little to nothing for the items I have in my stockpile.

I can’t do anything about the rising prices, especially the price of fuel but I can use all resources available to me to save money for my family.

What do you think? Is there a possibility of food riots here in the USA? Why or why not? I would really hate to see people fighting over food, however I once saw people fight over Cabbage Patch dolls. ; ) Leave me a comment with your opinion on the current “not yet verified” recession here in the USA.

Internet Printable Coupons 04/07/08

Monday, April 7th, 2008

There are a lot of stores no longer accepting internet printable coupons due to a few people abusing them; however for those who still have stores accepting them, here are some deals for you.

Quaker Life Cinnamon Cereal $1.00/1 coupon. This is from bricks.coupons.com and if you have problems printing or you are low on ink, they will mail this coupon to you by clicking on the “help” link at the bottom of the page and filling out your information. I usually receive mine within 3 days of requesting.

Print assorted Gerber Coupons here. The coupons state Limit 1 per household. I was able to print using Internet Explorer.

No Yolks Noodles .40/1 coupon. Fill out a form and receive the coupon to print. This is also from bricks.coupons.com. Again, if you are unable to print this coupon, request it by mail by clicking on the “help” link at the bottom of the page. Oh, and while you are there, register to receive a free No Yolks recipe booklet or Wacky Mac recipe booklet.

Honey Bunches of Oats Chocolate Clusters $2.00/1 coupon. You may request this by mail if you are unable to print.

Cinnabon Cereal .55/1 coupon. This one can be requested by mail as well if it will not print for you. (click on “help” link at the bottom of the page) There is also a mail-in rebate associated with Cinnabon Cereal. If you purchase 1 box of Cinnabon cereal AND Enchanted dvd or Blu-ray disc, you can receive $4.00 back. Purchase must be made between 03/18/2008 and 05/31/2008. Rebate request must be postmarked by 06/30/2008. Here is the pdf form to print out.

Skinny Cow Skinny Dippers Ice Cream $1.00/1 coupon. May request by mail if unable to print. ( I love this ice cream! )

All of these coupons are from bricks.coupons.com. I only listed coupons where you are able to request by mail if you are unable to print. There are many great coupons on the internet that I am unable to print and this just aggravates me! As stated above, I usually receive my requested coupons within 3 days.
